As summer comes to a close, we’re all looking forward to a beautiful New York City autumn! With the change in weather approaching, New York City residents and visitors with disabilities are looking for their means of accessible transportation for the winter season. Accessible Dispatch is ready to take your transportation concerns away with wheelchair accessible cabs in all five boroughs of New York City. Remember, with Accessible Dispatch, there are never special weather-based rates; all rates are based upon the set metered fare.

NYFS Healthy NYC Expo

Accessible Dispatch will once again be at the 3rd Annual Healthy NYC Expo. This is a free event that spreads awareness regarding healthy senior lifestyles and resources for families. There will be a special ‘Senior Pavilion’ for senior adults. Stop by and learn more about our service!

Wheelchair Games and Spinal Cord Injury Expo

Take part in this one-of-a-kind Wheelchair Games event at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. For the last 40 years, athletes who utilize wheelchairs have come together to participate in the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Sports and Vendor Expo. The Wheelchair Games competitive categories include divisions for all age groups, from six and under to 60 and over. The expo will include vendor presentations on topics such as adaptive equipment, new technologies, services, and products relevant to life after SCI. The Accessible Dispatch team will be there to cheer you on and inform you about our services in detail.

The Brooklyn Public Library’s Inclusive Service’s Ninth Annual Exceptional Children’s Resource Fair

Stop by and meet our team at this free event! Organizations that inform and educate New York City residents about resources for children and teens with disabilities will also be attendance. This is a great event for the whole family!

KEENFest Gala

Every year, KEEN New York presents its annual KEENFest fundraising gala that celebrates its athletes, achievements, and partners. Join us for an inspiring night honoring this great organization, which empowers youth with disabilities through non-competitive fitness programs.

The Co-Op City Disability Expo

This will be an amazing event for all to learn more about resources and organizations working to ensure independent living for people with disabilities. Along with meeting with exhibitors, attendees can listen to motivational speakers, take part in interactive arts, and learn about clinics and workshops in the community. The Queens Council on Developmental Disabilities hosts an annual resource fair to introduce residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities to products and services in their community. The 30th Annual Brooklyn Developmental Disabilities Council Family Support Fair

Every year, the Brooklyn Development Disabilities Council Family Support Fair provides a one-stop shop for families and professionals seeking information about services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Brooklyn. Attendance is free for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as their family members and professionals. Throughout the year, the New York for Seniors Wellness & Resource Fair engages and informs senior adults about resources available in their community. Accessible Dispatch will be there to talk more about wheelchair accessible taxis in the city!
