On June 9, the world’s first fully accessible water park, Morgan’s Inspiration Island, opened it’s doors in San Antonio, Texas. The inspiration for the one-of-a-kind theme park came from park creator George Harmon’s experience with his now 23 year old daughter Morgan.
“Children and adults who have special needs are sometimes left out, not because they want to be but because sometimes things are not always adequate for them to use,” Hartman said. Morgan’s Inspiration Island was created with the main goal of creating inclusion for visitors with and without disabilities.
